Who We Are
The Emergency Air Rescue Alliance is a coalition dedicated to protecting Americans' access to emergency air medical care. We bring together air medical providers, patients, and advocates around a single shared goal: making sure that when a medical emergency demands rapid transport to lifesaving care, that lifeline is there, and is not undermined by financial barriers or insurance disputes.
How We Began
EARA was founded with the support of an established air medical transport provider with more than two decades of experience moving critically ill and injured patients to the specialized care they need. From the start, we were built as a broad coalition rather than a single-company effort, because protecting emergency air medical access is a shared cause that reaches patients, providers, and communities across the country.
How We Work
We believe organized, collective advocacy is the most credible and effective way to protect emergency air medical access. Our work centers on three things: educating the public about why air medical transport matters, elevating the voices of patients and families who have depended on it, and advancing federal and state policy that keeps the emergency air medical system available to the people who rely on it.
Our Structure
EARA currently operates as a branded advocacy campaign. As the coalition grows, we plan to formalize as a nonprofit organization. We are committed to being transparent about who we are and how we work, and we will update this page as our structure evolves.
Stand With Us
Protecting emergency air medical access is not a fight any single group can win alone. It takes providers, patients, and communities standing together and speaking with one voice. The more people who understand what is at stake, the harder it becomes for the system to leave patients behind. You can help in two ways. Start by learning the issues, so you can see exactly how the access gap and the broken payment system put patients at risk. Then join the alliance and add your voice to a growing coalition working to keep the lifeline in place for everyone who may one day need it.
